FCB Athlete of the Week: Aug. 28 | Jordan Hill

WETUMPKA, Ala.- Sophmore running back Jordan Hill has been selected as the First Community Bank Athlete of the Week for the week of Aug. 28.

Hill's impressive performance on the ground helped the Indians overrun the Beauregard Hornets 36-19 in the season opener last week.

Hill notched 106 yards on just 16 carries and added two rushing touchdowns.

Hill has been a standout so far this season, not only in the season opener, but also broke off two long touchdown runs in the annual Black and Gold game.

Head coach Bear Woods praised Hill's talent and workout during Tribal Talk featuring the Bear Woods show.

"[Hill] works so hard," Woods said. "At practice today, I told the guys he is the standard. Every rep he takes, it looks like a next-level rep. He looks like one of the guys who goes beyond high school and how you play."

Hill and the Indians look towards Friday, Aug. 29 where they will face off against the Chelsea Hornets in the season's home opener.
