WETUMPKA, Ala. – Wetumpka's Emerson Paulk was a steady presence on defense Friday night, leading the Indians with 13 total tackles in their 28-19 loss to rival Stanhope Elmore.
Paulk finished with seven solo tackles and six assists, earning Athlete of the Week honors for his performance against the Mustangs.

His contributions extended beyond stopping the run. Paulk was active in pursuit and helped limit additional yardage when the Mustangs moved the ball into the open field.

Although the Indians couldn't complete the rally, Paulk's effort stood out in the final game of the season.
His 13 tackles led Wetumpka's defense and reflected the physical effort the Indians displayed throughout the rivalry matchup.
